White Vein Kratom is different from its other colored varieties due to the level of maturity the leaves attain prior to picking, the unique curing process, and the process of drying them before grinding into powder.

In order to get White Vein Kratom, the leaves must be harvested early in their lifecycle, then dried under controlled conditions indoors, away from harmful moisture and oxidizing UV light. This absence of light prevents the leaves from turning a darker color, resulting in a lighter-colored powder (hence its ‘white’ name).

Harvesting at this stage of the leaves’ lifecycle also results in a unique concentration of the alkaloids responsible for its many effects, including both Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine.

White kratom comes from the leaves of trees grown throughout various Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia, Borneo, Thailand, and Indonesia.

White Borneo Kratom 

This variety of kratom leaf comes from Mitragyna Speciosa trees grown throughout Borneo. Borneo’s unique tropical climate and fine-tuned agricultural aptitude are known to produce some of the most potent varieties of kratom available. Because of this, White Borneo may not be the most ideal option for those new to the plant, or who prefer a more subdued effect. 

White Borneo Kratom Potential Effects

Known for its purity and potency, the parent strain from which White Maeng Da comes was created by using a bit of natural Mendelian Genetics (selective breeding) to cross several regionally based varieties. The result was a tree that combined several desirable properties of each white kratom strain, creating a hybrid crop admired for its strength and concentration of alkaloids.

White Elephant Kratom 

Also known as “Indo Elephant”, this variety is the literal white elephant in the kratom world, made from the largest leaves of the Mitragyna Speciosa tree. The leaves are so large in size, that given their shape, they resemble that of an elephant’s ear. 

These floppy voluptuous leaves are more than just visually appealing…they contain a unique concentration of alkaloids found only at this later stage of maturity and growth. Grown for centuries in the JongKong region of Indonesia, White Elephant kratom is known for it’s potency and interesting combination of alkaloids.
