We believe these websites are a detriment to the kratom community and their marketing practices paint kratom in a negative light. Please don’t support them with your dollars if you love kratom and don’t want to see it banned across the United States.
While the majority of online vendors that can be easily found are based in the United States, there are a number of overseas vendors both in the UK and in Southeast Asia that you can purchase from as well. Generally speaking, we have had good experiences purchasing from vendors overseas in terms of both the price and quality of kratom. If you plan on purchasing in bulk (5 kilos or more), going with an overseas kratom supplier is not a bad option. If you purchase online, you won’t get your kratom on the same day. A big issue we have with kratom in smoke shops is the way they are sold. The majority of smoke shop operators don’t really know much about kratom except that it is a very profitable product for them. The majority of kratom products in smoke shops have flashy gimmicky packaging and will often refer to the product as “like heroin” or “opiates”. If we want kratom to continue to be legal, it is this type of sale and perception of kratom that needs to be avoided.
Also, a quick search on craigslist will likely return a number of local individuals who wouldn’t mind selling you kratom. On average, the prices are typically a little better than that of website vendors but comparable prices can be found on some vendor’s websites. This option requires that you are okay with meeting a random stranger somewhere or inviting them into your home to sell you kratom. Also, you are likely taking a bit of a risk in terms of the quality of kratom. These are the 2 primary options for where to buy kratom locally.
